Upward Sports Ministries
Upward is an evangelistic sports ministry specifically designed for K5 through sixth grade boys and girls that promotes salvation, character, and self-esteem in every child. SBC offers opportunities in flag football, basketball, and cheerleading. Fundamentals are taught along with a proper sense of sportsmanship. Teams are evenly matched assuring that each child has opportunity to play in each game and to develop his skills along with others. Call the church office for more information.
Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts
Cub Scouts is for boys in 1st through 5th Grade. Boy Scouts is for boys in 6th Grade, but not yet 18 years old. Our Scouts Pack and Troop is a Christ-centered organization designed to help grow boys into Godly men with an emphasis on Character; Citizenship; and moral, spiritual, and physical fitness.

Welcome to the Summerville Baptist Church Preschool & Children's Ministries!
Here at SBC we partner with the home in guiding children towards a relationship with Jesus Christ, and teaching them to live according to God's Word. We offer a variety of wonderful classes and programs for both grade school children and preschoolers to help them learn more about becoming a disciple of Christ. Join us and experience the fun, exciting Bible learning for yourself!

Centri-Kid Summer Camp
Sign-ups are available for Centri-Kid 2010 summer camp for children in 3rd-6th Grade. Our church has reserved spots for July 26-30, at Anderson University in Anderson, SC. To hold a reservation for your child to attend, we need a $50 non-refundable deposit per camper by January 31. The total cost for camp (including deposit) for the week is $250 per camper.

Preschool Sunday School provides age-graded (birth-K5) Bible learning activities for children. These activities include a weekly age-appropriate Bible lesson, arts & crafts, songs, games, and more. It gives young children the foundation they need to love God more and more as they learn and grow.

Preschool Music & Missions
From 5:00-6:30 p.m. each Sunday night during the school year, children ages four & five years explore Music & Missions, where musical and spiritual skills and concepts are discovered and experienced. Each week, children learn to praise God through song in Preschool Choir and then learn about the work of missionaries sharing Jesus with others in Mission Friends. The learning takes place through a variety of fun and exciting activities that kids love!

From 6:15-7:30 p.m. each Wednesday night, this class for 3-year-old through 5-K is a wonderful Bible learning opportunity that will help build a strong spiritual foundation for a lifetime. Children are involved in a Bible lesson and activity time through an age-appropriate Bible curriculum. Every part of the class - Bible stories, life application, crafts, games, and more - connects to teach life lessons for trusting and following God.

Children's Sunday School
Each Sunday morning we provide a wonderful time of Bible study for children in Grades 1-6. This time combines understandable and powerful Bible lessons along with creative learning activities designed to reinforce and apply the lesson to children's lives. We believe our Bible study time should be a fun and exciting place for kids to come and learn about God.

On Sunday nights, 1st-6th graders are involved in Music and Missions. From 5:00-6:30 PM children learn about worshipping and praising God through music in Children's Choirs and learn about sharing the Good News of Jesus in missions through RA's and GA's. Activities and lessons involve kids in both learning and serving. This helps kids better understand God's great commission to spread the good news of Jesus!

Kid's Connection Discipleship
This exciting discipleship program for 1st-5th Graders meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:30 p.m. Kids will be involved in relevant Bible study and application through large group lessons and small group interactions, upbeat praise and worship times, and lots of fun activities and games to reinforce the learning. It's a great opportunity for children to grow in their faith and build relationships with others!

90 Degrees
90o is a special preteen ministry for Sixth Grade students to help them as they transition from the children's ministry into the student ministry. Activities include a special discipleship class all their own on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:30 p.m. A variety of other fun activities and events are scheduled throughout the year, just for 6th graders.
