Screven Association Men's Supper
Third Monday of Each Month

Men, you are cordially invited to this monthly supper held at various churches throughout the Association.  We leave SBC at 6:00 p.m. to travel to other churches where we join hundreds of other men for a time of fellowship and inspiration. In addition to the great food, you can meet men from other churches as well as get to know the men from our church better.  Make plans to go this month.

JOY Fellowship
Thursday, August 26

If you are looking for a great time with other seniors, then join us for our monthly luncheon. The lunches are always good as we either provide lunch or have a pot-luck. The programs are very interesting and entertaining. You will laugh, learn and love all that is going on as we share together around the tables.

Each month about 100 seniors gather in the Fellowship Hall for this always festive occasion. Plans are made each month at JOY Council for the upcoming months. Feel free to join us in the Fellowship Hall at 11:00 a.m. prior to JOY Fellowship as we plan and coordinate the work among the senior adults of the church and community.

Earthly Father---Heavenly Father

Our Father

For those whose father was merciless, remember that our Father is compassion.

For those whose father was absent, remember our Father is everywhere.

For those whose father was a unfaithful, remember our Father’s name is faithful.

For those whose father rejected them and closed them out of sight, remember our Father whose arms were nailed openly, willingly onto a wooden cross.

For those whose father is aloof, remember that our Father is deeply concerned.

For those whose father was full of rage, remember that our Father is full of love.

Some fathers tear down. Our Father builds mansions.

Some Fathers deceive. Our Father is Truth personified.

Some fathers molest. Our Father restores.

Some fathers hide. Our Father reveals.

Some fathers die. We have an Everlasting Father

I call Him many names: Master, King, Teacher, Creator, Ruler, Messiah, Provider, Redeemer, Friend, But their is a mystical, deep and undeniable warmth when I call Him Father. Father, our Father, Who Art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
