As I sat quietly doing my daily devotional and preparing my Sunday School Lesson, God impressed upon me how blessed we are as a church. Sometimes we’re so busy with our daily schedules that we fail to notice God’s blessings. We are blessed with the most inspiring, well written Sunday School literature available to study God’s Word. I may be biased but I don’t know of anyone outside Southern Baptists that enjoys such outstanding literature.

Southern Baptist are blessed not only with outstanding Sunday School literature but also devotional materials such as Open Windows, Stand Firm and Journey not to mention DiscipleLife teaching materials and our outstanding magazines such as Home Life and Mature Living. We are blessed indeed! And what makes this literature available to us is your faithful giving of tithes and offerings.

Just think, this literature not only blesses us here at Summerville Baptist but also blesses others throughout our community. Some of this literature is used in our prison ministries and is also recycled and distributed to other churches, hospital waiting rooms, and doctors offices. So we are not the only ones benefiting from this literature. Who knows whom we may have reached for the Lord by our recycled literature program? This recycle program is administered faithfully by some of our ladies, Sunday School classes, and individual Sunday School members. God does command us to “go and tell” the Good News and through this literature distribution effort we’re making God’s Word available to others. Won’t you join us in this ministry by recycling your literature?
