Here at SBC we partner with the home in guiding children towards a relationship with Jesus Christ, and teaching them to live according to God's Word. Preschool Sunday School provides age-graded (birth-K5) Bible learning activities for children. These activities include a weekly age-appropriate Bible lesson, arts & crafts, songs, games, and more. It gives young children the foundation they need to love God more and more as they learn and grow.

ETC--Blessing A Child, A Parent, and You
Many in our church are making a huge difference in the lives of parents and preschoolers.  Spending an hour with these little ones during worship blesses the child, their parents  and also you.
 
Extended Teaching Care materials help to teach children stories of Jesus in ways they understand. You can make a life long impact on a child and their family. Where would you like to serve and make a difference?

Children's Sunday School

Each Sunday morning we provide a wonderful time of Bible study for children in Grades 1-6. This time combines understandable and powerful Bible lessons along with creative learning activities designed to reinforce and apply the lesson to children's lives. We believe our Bible study time should be a fun and exciting place for kids to come and learn about God.

Preschool Music & Missions

From 6:00-7:30 p.m. each Wednesday evening, children ages four & five years explore Music & Missions, where musical and spiritual skills and concepts are discovered and experienced. Each week, children learn to praise God through song in Preschool Choir and then learn about the work of missionaries sharing Jesus with others in Mission Friends. The learning takes place through a variety of fun and exciting activities that kids love!

Children Music & Missions

All 1st-6th graders are invited to be involved in Music & Missions on Wednesday evenings.  From 6:00-7:30 p.m. children learn about praising God through music during Children's Choir with new songs, instruments, and musicals. 

Then, from 5:45-6:30 p.m. children move into Missions learning time with RA's (Royal Ambassadors) for boys and GA's (Girls In Action) for girls.  Activities and lessons involve kids in learning about and doing missions work to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.  This helps kids better understand God's great commission to spread the news of Jesus.

AWANA Sundays at 5:00 p.m.

Here is an overivew of Awana's.

Children are organized into four groups according to age/grade level.

  1. Cubbies  3-4 years old
  2. Sparks K5- 1st &,2nd grades
  3. T&T  3rd & 4th grades
  4. T&T  5th & 6th grades

Each session has three segments - Handbook Game and Council Time.

  1. Handbook Time--Clubbers recite Bible memory verses to leaders and leaders sign off sections.
  2. Game Time--Clubbers develop team spirit, good sportsmanship, and self confidence while leaders assist the
  3. Council Time--Clubbers learn important Biblical principles during story time/sword drills and special activities 
    4.
