Preschool & Children Ministries
Make a Difference Bert Fersner Preschool and Children's ministries covers a variety of opportunities using different God-given gifts and talents. There are various Sunday School classes, discipleship groups, choir and mission education opportunities, special events and much more. Laying a strong biblical foundation in the lives of children for salvation and discipleship makes a far reaching impact on them and their families. We have wonderful resources and training opportunities available to help you as you teach and lead children. Sincerely ask the Lord how He would have you make a difference in the life of a child. Adult Ministries
There's A Place for You Michael Atkinson Adult ministries cover a wide variety of opportunities. There are classes, small groups, community ministries, and the list goes on. Seeing adults "get it" is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can have. We have many adults who are hungry for Bible study and for practical discipleship classes. Training for either area is always available. If your heart is right, then God can use you in many different ways. Music Ministries
Music Ministries Eddie Sayetta The Music Ministry at Summerville Baptist Church provides ministry opportunities for all ages, both chorally and instrumentally. There are many ways you can be involved in this dynamic ministry as we lift up the Lord, build up the Body of Christ, and share Christ with a world that needs to know Him personally. Training for leadership is provided to all who wish to lead musical groups, and conferences are a part of the training for team leaders involved in certain areas of the ministry. There is a place for you to belong in the Music Ministry. Please contact Eddie Sayetta to find out how you can be a part of the Music Ministry team.
Ways to Get Involved Here are some ministries in which you can belong: Worship Choir – primary service choir for adults Student Choir – choir for students in grades 7-12 Children’s Choirs – graded choirs for children in preschool through grade 6 JOY Singers – our senior adult choir Radiance – contemporary adult ensemble Sweet Assurance – ladies ensemble Handbells Groups for adults & children Low Country Singing Christmas Tree Choir and Orchestra – groups for our annual Christmas presentation Instrumental and solo opportunities Drama Team Welcome Team AV Tech Team – sound, lighting, video production Flower Committee and Decorations Team ?? Student Ministries
Contact Matt Kuhn for ways you can help in student ministries. There are many ways that you can lend a helping hand to the student ministry here at Summerville Baptist Church. The Student Ministry is here to partner with families to strengthen the spiritual growth of the students in the Summerville area. Ascend: Our outreach worship night on Wednesday Nights from 6:15-7:30 p.m. We are always looking for adults and parents to come volunteer at the Summit. You can help make visitors feel welcome. Please come join us this Wednesday. Impact Groups: iGroups are Small Group Discipleship groups that meet every Sunday evening from 5:30-8:00 p.m. We are looking for help in some of our groups, and help with Host Homes. Current Needs: We need an Assistant Leader in the 9th Grade Guys Group Sunday School: This Is the key to the involvement in our church. This area is very critical, and we are currently looking to have a list of willing adults to substitute in the event that we have a regular teacher out during Sunday School. Current Needs: We need a couple of adults to step up and teach the Senior Sunday School class.
