Every Sunday School leader, class leaders and anyone interested is welcomed and "EXPECTED" as we train together this year with GREAT EXPECTATIONS. Books are available for self-study and referral as we gather for a unique learning experience using webinar technology. Some of the foremost experts in Sunday School will enlighten us on trends, the fundamentals and inspire us as we seek to be a transformational church in our community and beyond.

Sunday School and Summer make for a great combination of growth, socials, inspiration, and just fun. Below are some thoughts about Sunday School and Summer as we go throught this season of the year.

How are you serving Christ? How are you serving at church? What can you do to make things happen better for your group or even another group of the Body of Christ? Can you share Christ with others by serving in the community somewhere (and really be a witness)?

We are mid-way through the summer with lots of great things happening throughout our Sunday School.The AC unit has been replaced in the core of our building so now the1st and 2nd grade classes can return to their rooms. A few weekends ago a group of leaders attended Sunday School weekend at Ridgecrest. We have been taken people for some years now to this national training event. The impact it has on our leadership is incredible and is certainly worth the investment of time and money.

We are having a powerful series of lessons in Sunday School this summer. I hope that you are getting all the nuggets that God wants you to have.
The study of David and his rise to power is a great study of leadership for any business person or someone in leadership. There are still spiritual implications that we can draw from to help us in everyday life.

This past week the building was filled with smiling faces and happy hearts. Children, students and adults were enjoying the VBS week as they shared Bible stories, talked about missions, enjoyed making crafts and spent time in recreation. The horses on the front lawn from HIS ministry was a huge hit and added greatly to the western theme...(read more)

A young couple we are partnering with sense God calling them to SE Asia where they will seek to tell people about Jesus in a large urban area. Our prayers and support are with them as they prepare to leave under the guidance of IMB and under God...(read more)

A few days ago, I was in a conversation about how much religion affects us as children. This person talked of their strict and legalistic upbringing and how his concept of God and religion are still influenced heavily by his childhood. Another individual commented how they felt they could never be "perfect enough", and so in essence they had rejected evangelical Christianity...(read more)

Sunday School in July

The Essentials of Success is our theme in Sunday School this August as we continue our study in 2 Samuel on the life of David. Our lives have been impacted already this summer as we looked at his rise to leadership. This month we continue our biographical study focusing on how such leadership issues as “holiness, purpose, kindness, dealing with personal sin and facing crisis with courage.”
I encourage you to study the Scriptures each week, use your Sunday School commentaries and pray for the members of your group. Truly this will help us continue to have Significant Summer in Sunday School.

PrayerWalk your neighborhood this Spring. Pray for the homes near you and down the street. Pray for the safety of your neighbors. Pray for specific needs you may know or hear about. Pray that Jesus will be invited into each heart and home.

Connect in Sunday School

Staying up to date in every area of life is important in this changing world. The Bible is written for every age and its relevancy is phenomenal to today’s situations. I am glad that we have a vibrant Sunday School that ministers 24/7 and gathers once a week to study the Scripture, discuss “shepherding needs/concerns” and reaches out to others not in Bible Study and who may not know Jesus as Savior.

Sunday School "A Place to Connect"
Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
Sunday School classes are a great way to get to know people as well as learn more about the Bible. SBC offers groups for everyone, from babies to adults, men andr women classes, married and single adults.These Bible study groups are essential to the on-going work of the church and offer hundreds each week an opportunity to fellowship and grow.
