Everyone is back in school, and new routines are in the making. As the fall season approaches, be sure to fall into some good routines that keep you on a spiritual growth path. 2 Peter 3:18 states: "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." We need a balance of grace and knowledge as we navigate through the journey of life.
Find ways to express grace in difficult situations. Your offering of grace to others may be the only act of kindness a person sees all day.
Walking with others in their shoes for a time often brings a new perspective and makes our hearts more open to offering grace to others, just as Christ offered grace to us. We also need knowledge for every situation we face - knowledge of good and evil, right and wrong, and that which honors God or brings dishonor to His name. Knowledge balanced with grace is a good combination and will be the key in bringing others to Jesus. Our command to share Christ's love with people who don't know Jesus is dependent on our balance of grace and knowledge. Strive to develop both.
So as we start a new school year with all the challenges we may face, be sure to connect into some of the ministry opportunities listed below to keep your spiritual growth going; and to grow in the grace and knowledge of God.
We always grow best when we are with other people, sharing life together.
Fall into good routines now, invest in your family's spiritual growth, and experience a school year like you never have before with results that last for eternity.
Growing With You,
