James' Jam - Encouragement
I love the book of James. Maybe it’s the name (it’s a good name, don’t you think?), or maybe it’s the intensely practical instruction that James offers. Either way, James ends his writing by encouraging his recipients to pray. For those suffering, James exhorts them to pray. If you’re happy, James says, sing your prayers as worship. If you’re sick, pray. If you’ve sinned, pray.
The message here is clear: there’s never a wrong time to pray. There’s never a circumstance we can’t bring to God or a moment that’s too big for God to handle. We serve a God who is ready, willing, and able to respond to the prayers of his people!
When we pray, we’re putting our faith into action. We’re saying to God, “I don’t know how to handle this or fix this, but I believe you do, and you can, and so I’m trusting you to work it out in your way and in your time.”
Let prayer fuel your life today!
James
