I love the sermon series we’re going through as a church right now. I believe with all my heart that Scripture has the power to transform our lives. I also know how difficult it can sometimes be to understand what I’m reading or even to know where to start or how to stick to a plan.
If you’ve ever felt that, you’re not alone! I love what Peter says in 2 Peter 3:16 when he’s talking about reading and applying Paul’s letters to the churches: “There are some things in them that are hard to understand,"...
Did you catch that? The Apostle Peter, talking about Paul’s writings to the church, says essentially, “that guy’s smart, and his writing is confusing!”
But then, Peter encourages the church to keep reading and studying: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18). And that’s our goal this year. So, let’s plug into a group, let’s get in the Scriptures, and let’s build our relationships with Jesus and others this year!
